I centrum står familjen Bennets fem döttrar Elizabeth, Jane, Lydia, Mary och Kitty. En dag flyttar den rike ungkarlen Mr Bingley till trakten. Han faller snart för familjen Bennets äldsta dotter, Jane, och Mrs Bennett tror att hon säkrat framtiden för en av sina döttrar. Men i Mr Bingleys sällskap följer också en krets av välbärgade människor ur Londons societet. Bland dem Bigleys gode vän, den snygge, men snobbige Marc Darcy.

Walk the Line är filmen om den legendariske musikern Johnny Cash och hans livslånga kärlek June Carter. Cash gick i ett slag från bommullsplockare till rocklegenden känd som The Man In Black, ett namn som symboliserar både Cashs musik och hans livsstil. Cash var en rebell som aldrig kunde fly sina egna demoner eller sin egen tungsinthet vilket avspeglas i hans musik och June var kanske den enda som kom honom riktigt nära.
Filmen handlar om en av tidernas mest gripande kärlekshistorier men är framförallt historien om en man som aldrig stod vid sidan och såg på utan levde varje dag som det var den sista.
