about Farväl Fakenberg
This is my second swedish film.
First one was 'Fucking Homo'.
I wathed that film in my home, south korea 1 year ago. At that time I had no idea about sweden.
But this film is different. Because I am here in växjö. :=)
This makes me think about sweden and swedish people.
as you can see my langage, I am not good at write in swedish.
And I also don't know a lot about sweden and swedish people even though I live in Sweden. But I can 'feel' a little bit about Swedish people and Sweden.
okay. Let me make a comment about this film.
At first,
I really love the seneary and nature, especially the blue sea and green shinig grass in the forest. and there is one wired question. 'why is it SO beautiful when David killed himself!?'
(this is kind of joking but half is true.)
and plus, there is a 'peace'.
the wonderful and peaceful nature in that film (and of course in here sweden) is so lovely!
Secondly,
how can I think about the David's suicide?
I just heard that sweden's suicide rate is quite high.
and still now, I don't know the reason. maybe it would be very complex.
but let's think about it.
maybe because of the 'gloomy wheather?' or maybe because of the 'stress as a being a perfect person'?
but in this film David says that it is kind of CHOICE.
Actually I never think about that kind of thingking before.
I just thought that death is really, really SAD thing, especially somone's death who is very close to me.
and I thought that 'suicide is far from me and I can't imagine about that.' and especially people who comitted suicide are just they are depressed so they don't want to live longer.
but in this film,
David 'choose' to die. that is interesting but it is dangerous.
for me, this film is kind of 'growing up' movie. you can think about their ages and their times. that time is kind of gap between young person and adult person. so they need to find some proper way to live.
so compare of my country, south korea's young generations are more stressed by education. for example, Big pressure as going to enter the 'good' university. (actually this is the big reason why young korean students killed themselves before and after the university entrance exam.)
etc about this film.
I want to see Falkenberg's girls life and what they are thinking about and how they feel about their lives.
